Gqoyeni Bush Lodge

Offers uninterrupted views, of the sand banks and reed beds. Incredible Bird watching, some very rare sights of the river birds, which also is a favoured drinking spot. The accommodation consists of four, two bed reed under thatch units,

Each with a shower and toilet en-suite and these are linked to the lounge and dining area by wooden boardwalks. Visitor’s needs are attended to by a cook and field ranger. The caretaker cook will assist with the preparation of meals and the daily servicing of the accommodation.

About Gqoyeni Lodge

The water at Gqoyeni Bush Lodge is temporarily not fit for drinking. Please bring your own drinking water.

Gqoyeni Bush Lodge caters for only one group at a time, up to a maximum of eight persons, so for the period of your stay it becomes your exclusive home in the African bush.

You will need to bring, all your food, drink and personal requirements. There is an open fire area and barbecue (braai) facility where guests may gather. Dine under the stars around a fire!

Walking Safaris

The field ranger is available to take visitors on safari walks, in the early mornings and late afternoons. The services of both the field ranger and caretaker/Cook are included in the tariff.

The walks are truly amazing to be out and among the Big 5 and many many other wonders. This Lodge is in high demand so if your interested best to enquire soon as you can...

Prcautions

Please note that, the bush lodge does not have a perimeter fence and animals may be encountered at any time, be aware of this, especially when moving about after dark.

Power is from generator for the fans and lighting But the fridges and stove use gas. The generator is turned off at approx 22h00. We suggest that you bring a torch for each room.
