St Lucia South Africa is Alive , with the World Cup Soccer , School Holidays and foreighn travellers to South Africa , St Lucia is almost bursting at its seems once again. After approximately 2 months of having not much to do most of the Bed & Breakfasts , Lodges , Hotels and Hostels are once again full. The tour operators ( Safari Game Drive ) are all venturing of to the Game Reserve’s Hluhluwe , Umfolozi & Isimangaliso Wetlands Park. Last months rains have helped tremendously and the Hides are where you need to be. Just today Lions , Buffalo and Hyenas where spotted in the Umfolozi side of the Park, with the weather being perfect what could be better.
Hluhluwe , Imfolozi Game Reserve is unique and rich in diversity , dont make the same mistake as many a traveler and rather skip this park to only venture into Kruger National Park, Hluhluwe , Imfolozi Game Reserve will most definately keep its promise in delivering a once in a life time Safari.
Tip for the week is stay in the Southern section of the Imfolozi , the hides are really worth it and times that you should be their is from 10:00 am onwards this is the best time as most animals will need a drink.
St Lucia at present is also experiencing a lot of trade thanks to the World Cup , clients are staying for shorter periods however making the most of their time in the area. The beaches are still worth it no matter that this is our Winter as the water tempretures are still in the 20’s.
Cape Vidal Isimangaliso Wetlands Park also received some good rains and hence forth the fact that it is looking absolutely stunning. The bay Cape Vidal is sanding up however their are still rocks that one can make use of to snorkel.
The Night Drives have been very good just a bit chilly however once again worth it as we had some great sightings of Leopard not to long ago.
If you are travelling to South Africa within the next few months ENJOY our hospitality and experience our Heritage.
