The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is one of the oldest game reserves in South Africa. It was first designated as a protected area in 1895, following the success of a successful campaign to save the rhino. The park covers an area of 96,000 hectares, equivalent to Greater London.

The Hluhluwe-iMfolozi area comprises two separate game reserves. It was the first wilderness area in S Africa and is rich in cultural and natural history. Named for its mountainous region, the reserve is also home to rhinoceros, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, and many other animals. A taxi can transport you around the park for a small fee.

The Hluhluwe Game Reserve is a good place to view elephants and rhinos. Despite its remote location, the park is close to Durban and Johannesburg. It is a great place for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts to enjoy a unique safari. There are approximately 350 species of birds and over 100 antelope. There are also a few species of guinea pigs.
